As concerns over school safety continue nationwide, police in New Jersey are taking part in intensive active-shooter response training this week - including a simulated drill inside a local middle school. It’s part of a statewide effort to ensure first responders are prepared for the kinds of emergencies schools across the country are working to prevent. Brianne Hailey Killeen reports.

Travelers are still feeling turbulence at the nation’s airports even with the government shutdown officially over - including right here at Newark Liberty. The FAA is keeping flight reductions capped at 6 percent at forty of the country’s busiest airports.
