A landmark drug and weapons bust announced this week in New Jersey has put the brakes on millions of potentially deadly doses of fentanyl from hitting communities across the region. Officials say the operation uncovered large-scale quantities of fentanyl, methamphetamine and crack cocaine as well as firearms stored inside a garage in Clifton.

Jersey City’s fight over a controversial hospital closure is taking yet another turn as Heights University Hospital - which shut down earlier this year after tens of millions in losses - is now at the center of a growing legal and political battle. The hospital’s owner says it may reverse course and restore healthcare services in the area. Brianne Hailey Killeen reports.
