U.S. Logistics - a United States based company that provides global warehousing and distribution services among others was visited by the head of the U.S. Small Business Administration, Kelly Loeffler. She toured the facility, meeting with workers and business owners in an effort to gather feedback from small manufacturers across the country.

“We were notified that the SBA is coming around and interviewing small businesses and trying to get an understanding of how the economy is and how some of the things that are going on are affecting small businesses,” said Rick Trizano, CEO of U.S. Logistics.

The U.S. SBA Administrator Kelly Loeffler spoke on the importance of looking at every aspect of the supply chain.

“We’re talking about onshoring, reshoring - the entire supply chain of which logistics as we can see here is a huge part of it,” said Kelly Loeffler, SBA Administrator. “Not just looking at the import opportunity but the export opportunity which can really grow through a fair trade policy.”

The visit also allowed her to describe resources at the federal level that are aimed at supporting small businesses.

“So we’re out letting them know about our access to capital, which is the lifeblood of all business, but also that we’re working to help deregulate industries that have been overregulated that has limited economic growth, job creation and business formation in this country and we’re also advocating to extend the 2017 tax cuts and jobs act,” said Kelly Loeffler, SBA Administrator.

The visit comes at a time where many are asking questions about global trade in light of new tariffs announced by the administration.

“Although this turbulent time in international trade might be difficult, I think there are some long term benefits that we as Americans will get out of it,” said Rick Trizano, CEO of U.S. Logistics. “As an American entrepreneur, we adapt, we change our business plans as needed and we overcome.”
